The SYSTEM

The SMARTBIKES are primarily bicycles and pedelecs with electronic equipment (display and lock) which offers the user several functions (identification at the vehicle, opening and closing of the lock, travel data, navigation, etc.)

Each rental station generally consists of several docking stations (at least three and modular expandable) with two vehicles respectively and an additional information hub. At some stations, the information hub is furnished to function as a registration point, i.e. one can register there, pay services and obtain one’s user card.

Our goal is to progressively install many rental stations at each location, such that every user can find a station in close proximity. From Bamberg to Franconian Switzerland, the Rhön-Saale area, Allgau, Black Forest, Austria, Switzerland all the way to Spain.
